ShapeWise 3D
ShapeWise 3D is an interactive geometry game that helps children understand the faces, edges and vertices of three-dimensional shapes. Instead of learning only from flat diagrams, players can explore bright 3D models and examine each shape from different angles. The game presents geometry in a clear, visual and engaging way, making it easier for children to understand how solid shapes are constructed and how their individual parts are connected.
Explore 14 common 3D shapes
The main Shape Lab introduces 14 common 3D shapes: cube, cuboid, triangular prism, pentagonal prism, hexagonal prism, octagonal prism, square pyramid, pentagonal pyramid, hexagonal pyramid, triangular pyramid or tetrahedron, cylinder, cone, sphere and hemisphere. Players can move between the shapes using the previous and next buttons. Each lesson clearly displays the name of the selected shape, a short explanation and useful real-world examples. For instance, children learn that a cube has six equal square faces and that objects such as dice and toy blocks are shaped like cubes.
Highlight faces, edges and vertices
During each lesson, children can select Face, Edge or Vertex to highlight that specific part on the 3D model. Choosing Face shows one of the surfaces, selecting Edge highlights a line where two faces meet, and choosing Vertex identifies a corner point. Colour-coded labels and glowing markers make every part easy to recognise. The information panel also displays the total number of faces, edges and vertices for the current shape, helping children connect the visual model with important geometry facts.
Audio-guided geometry lessons
ShapeWise 3D includes an audio lesson feature for children who prefer listening to instructions. The lesson can explain the name of the shape, describe its properties and guide the child through its different parts. A pause control allows learners to stop the explanation whenever they need more time to examine the model. Helpful reminders also introduce important mathematical vocabulary, such as the difference between the singular word “vertex” and the plural word “vertices.”
The 20-Round Challenge
After exploring the shapes, players can test their understanding through the 20-Round Challenge. In this mode, children answer questions by identifying and tapping the correct face, edge or vertex on a shape. Correct answers help them score points or earn stars, adding a playful goal to the learning experience. The challenge encourages careful observation and checks whether children can apply what they learned without relying only on written definitions.
The Line Match activity
The Line Match activity provides another way to practise. It contains five levels and 25 matching tasks in which players connect geometry terms with the correct parts of a displayed shape. This activity develops visual matching, concentration and mathematical vocabulary while keeping the controls simple and accessible.
Learn solid geometry through play
With its glowing 3D models, large buttons, colour-coded labels and structured lessons, ShapeWise 3D turns solid geometry into an enjoyable discovery activity. It is suitable for classroom learning, homeschooling, revision or independent practice. By combining guided lessons, interactive exploration, quizzes and challenges, the game helps children confidently identify faces, edges and vertices across a wide range of prisms, pyramids and curved 3D shapes.
